• User reports: When you submit a fuel status report, we collect the station ID, reported status, and optional notes you provide. We do not collect your name or personal details unless you choose to provide them.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to Sentinel+, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe may collect your email address and payment information in accordance with their privacy policy.
• Access codes: We store your email address alongside your access code when you subscribe to Sentinel+.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Fuel Sentinel map
• To process Sentinel+ subscriptions and send access codes
• To understand how the site is used via anonymous analytics
• To display community-submitted fuel status reports on the map

3. Data Sources

Fuel price and availability data is sourced from the Victorian Government's Fair Fuel Open Data API, operated by Service Victoria. This data is published with a 24-hour delay. Community reports submitted by users are displayed on the map and stored in our database.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Database hosting. Data is stored on servers in the United States.

5. Cookies & Advertising

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Google Analytics: Anonymous usage tracking to understand how people use the site.
• Google AdSense: We display advertisements from Google AdSense on our free tier. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Sentinel+ subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience with no advertising cookies. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

User-submitted reports are stored indefinitely to maintain map accuracy. Access code records are stored for the duration of your subscription. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.
